Liquid stuffs such as salad dressings, salsa, jams, jellies, dips, yogurts and syrups should be kept in the tight containers to avoid leaking.

To make it easier, you can add the liquid you need on your foods in advance. Thus, you don’t have to bring too many containers. For example, put the dressing into your salad and put them in a container.

If you bring solid foods such as bread or sandwich, make sure to pack it inside a clear plastic. It is recommended to avoid using foil because you will be asked to remove it once the food go through X-ray scanners. You can also opt for zip-top bag. It is cheap and good to keep solid food with less moisture such as nuts, dried fruits, chips, sandwich, etc.

It is recommended to use reusable plastic food containers to store your foods. Make sure it is also sealable. This type of container is great to keep foods that have more moisture with risk of leaking such as salad. This container is lightweight, washable, and transparent. It also comes in variety of sizes you can choose.

As for the drink, it is highly recommended to bring your own reusable bottle. Some airports provide drinking waters for travelers. So if you find them, bring your bottle and fill it before the flight. if you want to brink alcoholic beverages, make sure that you meet the rules because in some countries, travelers are not allowed to bring alcohol to a plane. Make sure that you don’t violate any regulations when you want to pack your own foods and drinks for a flight.
