Gyeongbokgung Palace

Gyeongbokgung Palace is the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty which was built in 1395 and is located in the northern part of Seoul. Gyeongbokgung Palace is the largest palace of 5 palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty. Its function is to be used as the home of kings, Joseon government and Joseon households.

Changdeokgung Palace

It is a beautiful building with a beautiful garden. This palace is one of a series of 5 Grand Palace which was recognized as one of the UNESCO World Culture Heritage sites in 1997. Changdeokgung Palace consists of a number of buildings divided into government areas on the front and private areas of the royal family on the back. The 32-hectare rear garden of the palace or called Huwon is a place where kings hold royal ceremonies.

Changgyeonggung Palace

Changgyeonggung Palace is the 3rd palace complex near Changdeok Palace with a relatively small area compared to other palaces. Changgyeonggung Palace has an attraction that includes halls, pavilions, gates, and bridges. IThis is a summer palace from the Goryeo dynasty that was built in 1104 and passed down to the Joseon dynasty.

Deoksugung Palace

Deoksugung Palace is the 4th palace which is the residence of Prince Wolsan, the brother of King Seongjong. In 1592, this palace was burned during the Japanese invasion. In 1618 the royal palace of mussels was moved to Changdeokgung.

Gyeonghuigung Palace

Gyeonghuigung Palace is in the Western Soul. At the end of the Joseon dynasty, Gyeonghuigung Palace functioned as a secondary palace for the king as a place of refuge when the king was in an emergency. Gyeonghuigung Palace is built between mountainous geography that is sloping and has the beauty of amazing traditional architecture. During the Japanese occupation, the palace was destroyed and rebuilt in the 1990s.
