I won’t dive into the technical matters this time. However, one year should be enough to start earning from blogging in significant amounts. Don’t get me wrong, but please do not have a higher expectations though.

1. Buy your top level domain and hosting

My point is, avoid creating blogs using free platforms like blogspot.com or wordpress.com. But if you are done already, you can immediately buy a new domain and hosting if needed. This is to prepare your travel blog to look professionally from day one since you created.

Some bloggers are successful using a free platform, but then led to the purchasing of domain and hosting with reason to make it brandable and so on. So why not make it from day one?

2. Use images you’ve taken before

One photo can represent thousands of words. It is also true that one of your old photographs will be able to be retold in a text that even contains thousands of words and more.

Check out your image folder as well to make sure that before you actually get out or resign from the office, you already know that you have already the power you might need. That is a big collection of images you’ve taken before. Because, if you have many holiday’s photographs, then you will also not getting too much confused to plan and create the travel blog’s contents.

3. Start telling your story in an article

However, most bloggers are also writers. Then tell me your story. What happiness and experience you have passed in one or more of those photos. All stories are valuable, so do not hesitate to express them all.

Because the more content (story) you can publish in your traveling blog, then the more chances to get a lot of readers or visitors. And when dealing with the online world, the more traffics you get, the more income you are potentially to get. Whatever monetization methods you will use.

4. Use high quality images

Traveling photos are also part of the article that you are about to publish, right? Imagine how monotonous a writing without any interesting image in it. So, no matter how good you are in writing, it will be better to use relevant photos. And to produce more images, you can use your phone’s camera though. And if it is possible, feel free to buy the professional one.

5. How to monetize your travel blog?

There are many products on Amazon, Ebay and so on that you can sale. And the products and services that you will promote should relevant to your niche blog.

Indeed, you will also become an internet marketer by utilizing referral programs from related websites. Or you can also choose to display ads from advertising networks like Google Adsense, submit proposals to various companies to use your blog space as advertising space for their products and services. And there are many more things you can do to earn money from traveling blog that you will be developed.

6. Join the online communities

Who is the first reader of your travel blog? Of course it is your friend, your husband or your wife, your next-door neighbors and parents and schoolchildren in your neighborhood right now.

They will be ready to become the first, second readers, and so on even without on your command. However, all you need to do is to share the post on social media so they know what you just wrote.

Similar with the communities and other bloggers, if you are in luck, you’ll be get to know and share each other. In addition to that, they may also be the reason for viral traveling stories that you have been published. The point is, simply build a good and strong network with others.

And the last thing you should do is, go anywhere as you like. Take more pictures! Write your story and publish it in your blog. As simple as that. Those are 6 basic things you need to know if you want to become a full-time travel blogger.
